Who We Are
The dedicated V&C Capital team is made up of individuals from different backgrounds who use their experience in the industrial, financial and startup worlds to help businesses and innovators build great, scalable companies.

V&C Capital was founded in 2018 by Dr. Clive Lim & Vivek Goyal. Since our establishment, we have had the opportunity to invest, advise and partner with several start - ups. Our team members play an active role in supporting and providing fundraising guidance and advise companies throughout their development. WELCOME TO V&C CAPITAL
We are constantly looking for ways to improve ourselves and are keen to hear your feedback on evaluating start-ups.
We think it might be useful to help start-ups equip themselves with the necessary tools to approach venture capitalists (VCs).
The goal of an e-mail to a VC is to simply obtain a meeting. A lengthy email is not necessary, just an elevator pitch outlining who you are/what you do, your value proposition, your current monthly revenues (we typically like to see some wins on the scoreboard ) will suffice-something visual and compelling always helps secure a meeting.
Once you have secured a meeting-a short deck , maximum of 8-12 pages should work to get your message across . Details to include:
Who are the founders and what is the market that they are trying to address
Why your solution is best for the market
What is your progress to date
How much funding have you secured
Have the founders put any money to work
How is work distributed among your team
Who are your customers and potential customers
Are you seeking help from advisors?
Having two versions of your deck - a short version to secure a meeting and a long version always helps - other details to include at the time of a meeting include your future vision, your financial plans, the amount you are raising, how you will use the proceeds and how long the cash will last.

We are focused on your path from Seed to Series A, so do spend time time explaining how you plan to get there.
Allow time for questions - always ask if the VC needs more information on an area that you might not have covered.

OUR TEMPLATE
V&C Capital advises prospective start-ups to complete our template questionnaire. This serves to streamline our initial analytical and due diligence process and also helps interested parties understand our thought process.Listed below are some of the key themes our template questionnaire seeks to cover.
MANAGEMENT
We like to see passion, experience, knowledge, skill, commitment, leadership, vision, realism, coachability in a startup founding team.
EVALUATION
We would like to evaluate the current state of a company from the get-go. This would include looking at turnover, profit margins, growth metrics, churn (if applicable) and the company's relative market position and opportunity relative to its competitors.
SCALABILITY
We are very interested in the founders' long-term plans and aspirations for the company. This would include any quantitative projections or benchmarks the founders hope to attain in the future.
INDUSTRY
We would like to know about the industry you are focusing on. This helps us answer questions like:
Are you disrupting or enhancing the mechanics of an industry?
Who are your competitors and what edge do you have over them?
What is your value proposition and what are the barriers to displacement?
